Airline, Travel & Tourism Courses

Sir George Seymour College has nine core airline, travel and tourism courses (as listed below) as well as school programmes and short courses (see below) which start throughout the year!

Not only will you receive the tuition required by the Aviation, Tourism and Travel Training Organisation (ATTTO), you will also be trained in the business and practical skills required to secure employment. Equipment is up to date, with relevant computing hardware and applications . Students range in age from 17 to 50+. Some have had experience in the workforce while others are school leavers or have completed other tertiary education.


Courses Available at Sir George Seymour College

1. Certificate in Travel, Tourism & Business (25 Weeks)

A comprehensive qualification that includes three NZQA National Certificates and will prepare you for a wide range of customer service roles such as in hotels, airports, rental cars and other tourism companies.

2. National Certificate in Travel Level 4 (12 weeks)

(37 weeks when combined with Certificate in Travel, Tourism and Business)

This twelve week qualification is highly recommended for those who want to gain a Level 4 qualification that specialises in travel agency and wholesale travel operations.

3. Certificate in International Flight Attending (12 weeks)

(37 weeks when combined with Certificate in Travel, Tourism and Business)

This twelve week qualification will give you the skills and confidence to apply for a variety of roles with airlines based in New Zealand and overseas.

This qualification will give you the skills and insight into the conference and events industry and the knowledge you need to apply for positions in this exciting industry.

This hands-on, practical course, is designed for students aspiring to be a Tour Guide at major tourist attractions and activities or to be involved in adventure tourism.
